You may want to change the passphrase for Scheduler of VMware Skyline Health Diagnostics.

Prerequisites

  1. Verify that you have a root user credential for the VMware Skyline Health Diagnostics Appliance.

  2. Verify that you have shd-admin user credential for the VMware Skyline Health Diagnostics Appliance.

  3. Verify that you have a passphrase for the scheduler if, you want to change the passphrase.

Procedure

  1. Perform SSH to VMware Skyline Health Diagnostics Appliance
  2. Log in using the root user.
  3. Run the command shd-config credmanager
  4. System will request to provide shd-admin credentials.
  5. Enter the appropriate no. for "Rekey the Credential Store' option, if you know the ealier passphrase and you want to change it.
  6. Enter the CURRENT passphrase.
  7. Enter the new passphrase you want to set.
  8. Confirm the passphrase.
  9. Restart the shd service using command systemctl restart vmware-shd.

Results

The passphrase changed for the Scheduler of the Skyline Health Diagnostics Appliance.
