You can mute an inventory object to remove it from the affected objects table of a finding.
Muted inventory objects no longer appear within the Affected Objects table for any Finding where the object might be impacted by the potential issue. You may want to mute an inventory object if it has known issues or remediation is not to be performed, such as a test or development environment.
Muting an inventory object is limited to ESXi hypervisor hosts, and NSX-V components (Controllers, Logical Routers, and Edges).
- Click the Findings tab.
- Expand Inventory within the Filter. Locate the object that you want to Mute.
- Hover your mouse-pointer over the object that you want to Mute. An eye icon appears.
- Click the eye icon to Mute the object.
The muted object no-longer appears in the affected objects table of a Finding.
