Hide an inventory object to remove it from appearing in the affected objects table of a Finding.

Hidden inventory objects no longer appear within the Affected Objects table for any Active Finding.

An example for why you may want to hide an inventory object include an ESXi host that is part of a test or development environment.

Note:

Hiding an inventory object is limited to ESXi hypervisor hosts, NSX-V, and NSX-T components (Controllers, Logical Routers, and Edges).

Procedure

  1. Within Skyline Advisor, click the Findings & Recommendations tab.
  2. Expand Inventory within the Filter. Locate the object that you want to Hide.
  3. Hover your mouse-pointer over the object that you want to Hide. An eye icon appears.
  4. Click the eye icon to Hide the object.

Results

The hidden object no-longer appears in the affected objects table of a Finding.
