Monitor root-cause and impact analysis

Use the Application Connectivity Monitor deployment to monitor the automated root-cause and impact analysis:

• Application signatures automatically invoke monitoring of application infrastructure. Use the Application Maps and Notification Log to monitor the status of infrastructure elements and the impact of network failures on application services.
• Integrate the deployment with the VMware Smart Assurance IP Management Suite to perform cross-domain root-cause analysis between the network and application domains.
• Adjust polling and threshold settings to fine-tune the analysis. The settings can be adjusted through the Polling and Thresholds Console. The settings for individual application task checks can also be adjusted through the dialog box that is used to edit the checks.
