Introduction

VMware Smart Assurance Application Connectivity Monitor (ACM) provides discovery and monitoring of applications and their components. It can be used externally by integrators/developers to create application management tools for which packaged products are not currently available.

Using ACM, administrators and integrators configure their applications from a Tiered Application Map and launch predefined application signatures to run discovery probes and create monitoring actions. The VMware Smart Assurance Application Connectivity Monitor Configuration Guide describes the predefined application signatures that are available with Application Connectivity Monitor and how to launch the signatures to configure your applications.
