You can set a default expiration time for all alarms or specific alarms using the adapter alarm configuration file. In this way, the alarm(s) will be cleared in VMware Smart Assurance even if they are not cleared in the Alcatel-Lucent 5620 SAM EMS server. If an alarm expiration is set to 0, it will stay in the VMware Smart Assurance Notification Log until a clear is sent by the Alcatel-Lucent 5620 SAM EMS server through the Adapter.
