Configuring the Multicast Manager

Configure the Multicast Manager to prevent automated topology transfer from the attached IP Availability Manager and, optionally, to set mapping for group names and IP addresses.

1. At BASEDIR/smarts/bin, enter the following command:

   sm_edit conf/mcast/multicast.conf
   

2. Locate the section,

3. # InChargeDomain::InChargeDomain_INCHARGE-AM {

4. Comment out this section, as shown below.

    # InChargeDomain::InChargeDomain_INCHARGE-AM {
    #        Type = "AM"
    #        DomainName = "INCHARGE-AM"
    #        DisplayName = "INCHARGE-AM"
    #    }
   

5. Set the value as shown for the following variable:

   IsEMS = TRUE
