Migration for multiple-Adapter deployment

When your deployment includes multiple Adapter servers on one system, you can use this optional migration procedure to provide for either of the following:

• A procedure that preserves the previous version.

• The ability to migrate one Adapter server at a time without the need to shut down an entire deployment.

  This procedure is appropriate for full software versions and patches. Use of this procedure will minimize down time.

  Important:

  With this procedure, you retain concurrent patch versions, allowing you to restart from either version, as required for your deployment. After your evaluation is complete, retain one version and remove the other version, following the procedure in “Uninstalling the Adapter”.
