Overview

For new classes added by dynamic modeling, instances of the class must be discovered and added to the repository. In addition, new attributes need to be populated with values.

There are several methods that may be used to create instances of new classes or to populate values of new attributes:

• The dmctl command

• Text file accessed by one of the SDK APIs (PERL, C, Java)

• ASL scripts

• Working with scripts that are invoked as part of the postprocessing phase ofthe discovery mechanism
