For large numbers of sites, you can perform the following steps:

  1. Install an suite at the primary site.

  2. Use the sm_rebond utility to change the secret phrase.

  3. Use the sm_edit utility to update the security configuration files and seed files of the suite as needed.

  4. Copy the imk.dat file, as well as the configuration files and seed files to the other installations of the software.

    Important:

    The imk.dat file can only be copied to other systems with the same operating system (OS) and OS version.

    You will not have to use the sm_rebond utility on the other Managers if the files are moved to the Managers before the Managers are started.
