After the initial discovery was completed, instead of a bulk reconfigure or if new devices were added to the topology, instead of a full reconfiguration, an incremental reconfigure happens only for newly added devices, which is faster.
The IP Manager User Guide provides information on how to enable incremental reconfigure.
