More about the managing of ports

All ports that are imported are unmanaged.

The IP Manager sets a port to managed if the port has a connection. The port may be a trunk port or an access port. The IP Manager imports only those ports that are managed.

Furthermore, the IP Manager imports only managed objects and performs correlation and root-cause analysis on managed objects only. Managed and unmanaged objects are described in the IP Manager User Guide.
