Autodiscovery seed systems

If you plan on using autodiscovery, consider including a system that is enabled with Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP), Extreme Discovery Protocol (EDP), or Foundry Discovery Protocol (FDP) in the seed file when possible to improve autodiscovery coverage. The discovery process is able to probe CDP, EDP, FDP, and other tables to take advantage of the abundance of topology information that they hold.
