IP 9.1 supports Virtual Port Channel (vPC) management on Cisco Nexus 5000 switches. A Virtual Port Channel is formed by the logical aggregation of ethernet switch ports that belong to two different switches.
The Virtual Port Channel is represented as vAggregatePort in IP topology.
IP 9.1 supports vPC on Cisco Nexus 5000 switches through CLI discovery. Provide read-only credentials of the Cisco Nexus 5000 switch in CLI Access Group with matching criteria in Polling and Threshold console > Device Access.
The vAggregatePort class is defined by the following relationships:
-
LayeredOver/Underlying relationship with Switches.
-
ComposedOf/PartOf relationship with underlying AggregatePorts (vPC member ports).
-
Uses/UsedBy relationship with AggregatePorts participating in peer link.
