Adding read community strings

To add a read community string to the Read Community Strings window:

1. Attach the Domain Manager Administration Console to the target IP Manager.

   “Opening the Domain Manager Administration Console” on page 18 provides instructions on opening this console.

2. In the left panel of the Domain Manager Administration Console, click the IP Manager name to display a multiple-tab window in the right panel of the console.

3. Click Topology.

4. Type a read community string in the Community Strings field.

5. Click Add. By default, you can list up to four community strings in the Read Community Strings window.

6. Click Apply.

   The changes that you make to the Read Community Strings window are applied to systems that are discovered after the changes are made. Systems that are already discovered are not affected.
