MPLS Manager provides an autoconfiguration program that automatically makes the “add source” calls to set up the communication links between (1) the MPLS servers, themselves, (2) the MPLS servers and the IP Availability Manager sources, and (3) (optional) between the MPLS Monitoring Server and Network Protocol Manager for BGP. All a user needs to do is to start the MPLS servers.
During the start up of the MPLS servers, the autoconfiguration program reads a file named mpls-tma.conf to set up the following topology and status connections:
-
Connections for topology transfer:
-
From IP Availability Manager to the MPLS Topology Server
-
From the MPLS Topology Server to the MPLS Monitoring Server
-
From the MPLS Topology Server to the MPLS Analysis Server
-
-
Connections for status flow:
-
From IP Availability Manager to the MPLS Monitoring Server
-
From the MPLS Monitoring Server to the MPLS Analysis Server
-
(Optional) From Network Protocol Manager for BGP to the MPLS Monitoring Server
The autoconfiguration program identifies the IP Availability Manager and Network Protocol Manager for BGP sources by reading the mpls.conf file, described in “Description of mpls.conf” on page 30.
