In general, as with automatic full discovery, manual full discovery should be performed at the IP Availability Manager sources, not at the MPLS Topology Server. Performing a manual full discovery at IP Availability Manager will trigger a full discovery at the MPLS Topology Server.

If you want to perform a manual full discovery at the MPLS Topology Server, you do so by invoking Discover All through the Domain Manager Administration Console or the dmctl utility. Invoking Discover All results in the following discovery behavior:

The MPLS Topology Server performs a topology synchronization with IP Availability Manager and conducts a discovery on all PE, P, Multi-VRF CE, and CE devices in its topology, regardless of device discovery timestamps.

For PE or P devices, the MPLS Topology Server conducts a full-scope discovery.
Full-scope discovery is defined in “How discovery is conducted” on page 34.

For Multi-VRF CE or CE devices, the MPLS Topology Server conducts an SNMP discovery of just VRFs.
If the MPLS-BGP cross-domain correlation feature is enabled, the MPLS Topology Server also conducts an SNMP discovery of exterior BGP (eBGP) sessions.

For any new device, that is, a device that was not present in the MPLS-System topology collection set during the previous synchronization with IP Availability Manager, the MPLS Topology Server conducts a full-scope discovery.
