BGP impact analysis examples

The examples that follow show how Network Protocol Manager for BGP uses the relationships between the BGP objects and the underlying physical-transport objects to perform BGP impact analysis. In addition, the examples show how the Global Manager picks up where Network Protocol Manager for BGP leaves off to perform global impact analysis.

Keep the following information in mind when reading these examples:

• A router has multiple physical interfaces.

• A physical interface may have multiple BGP protocol endpoints.

• A BGP protocol endpoint has one and only one BGP session.
