The term “event” represents either a root-cause problem that is diagnosed by a Domain Manager or a symptom that is detected by a Domain Manager. A Domain Manager correlates one or more symptoms to diagnose a root-cause problem. Events that are used as symptoms to diagnose a problem can also be perceived as impacts that are caused by the problem.
In this document, the term “problem” is used to mean a “root-cause problem” event, and the term “event” is used to mean a “symptom” or an “impact” event.
