Notification adapter starts, but fails to connect to the VMware Manager

Applies to the Email Notifier Adapter, the Log File Notifier Adapter, the SNMP Trap Notifier Adapter, and the Script Notifier Adapter.

When an adapter cannot connect to an VMware Manager, it is usually for one of the following reasons:

• VMware Manager is not running.

• Name of the VMware Manager is not the same as the name specified in the adapter’s configuration file.

• VMware Manager cannot be reached from the host running the adapter.
