In addition to performing the configuration and administration tasks that are common to all Global Managers, you perform the following additional task to set up the Global Manager in a Topology Split Manager deployment:
Use the Global Console and the Global Manager to specify the underlying IP Availability Managers.
Doing so associates the IP Availability Managers with the proper data exchange adapter (DXA) files, which identify the topology and events that the Global Manager should import from the IP Availability Managers.
No DXA or any other connection exists between the Topology Split Manager and the Global Manager.
