Adapter Platform configuration tasks

In addition to performing the configuration and administration tasks common to all Adapter Platforms, you perform the following additional tasks to set up the Adapter Platform in a VoIP Availability Manager deployment:

• Ensure that VoIP topological objects will be imported for VMware Smart Assurance Service Assurance Manager version 7.2.

• Configure the Adapter Platform to forward traps to the Global Manager for display as VMware Smart Assurance notifications in the Global Console.

  Chapter 5, Configuring the Global Manager, provides the procedure for ensuring that VoIP topological objects will be imported for VMware Smart Assurance Service Assurance Manager version 7.2.

  Chapter 6, Configuring the SNMP Trap Integration, provides the procedure for configuring the Adapter Platform to receive, convert, and forward traps to the Global Manager. Procedures for configuring all aspects of the Adapter Platform and the SNMP Trap Adapter are provided in the VMware Smart Assurance Service Assurance Manager Adapter Platform User Guide.
