In addition to performing the configuration and administration tasks common to all Global Managers, you perform the following additional tasks to set up the Global Manager in a VoIP Availability Manager deployment:

  • Ensure that VoIP topological objects will be imported for VMware Smart Assurance Service Assurance Manager version 7.2. VMware Smart Assurance Service Assurance Manager version 8.0 is already installed to accept VoIP 4.0 topological objects.

  • Set up a communication link between the Global Manager and the VoIP Availability Manager (mandatory).

  • Set up a communication link between the Global Manager and the IP Availability Managers (mandatory).

  • Set up a communication link between the Global Manager and the Adapter Platform (mandatory).

  • Configure client tools to access VoIP Performance Manager data (optional).
