After an IP Availability Manager is added as a topology source, VoIP Availability Manager starts a synchronization program that probes the IP Availability Manager repository for device topology. The synchronization program probes for topology immediately after an IP Availability Manager is added as a topology source and then every time thereafter whenever:
-
The IP Availability Manager completes a discovery cycle.
Note:Assumes AutoDiscover parameter in voip.conf file is TRUE (default).
-
The connection to IP Availability Manager is lost and then re-established.
Each time that VoIP Availability Manager imports device topology from an IP Availability Manager, it imports the entire device topology, sends SNMP polls and CLI commands to the devices to discover/rediscover VoIP objects, and adds those objects to the VoIP topology in its repository.
