In a scenario where two IP Availability Managers manage two different devices but share the same IP address and the IP Availability Managers did not apply an IP tag to the object names, VoIP Availability Manager imports the two different devices and represents them as one instance in its topology. In this case, the shared duplicate IP address will be deleted fromVoIP Availability Manager’s topology.
The deleted IP addresses are listed in the VMware Smart Assurance log file in the BASEDIR/smarts/local/logs directory in the VoIP Availability Manager installation area. For example, the VoIP-AM_en_US_UTF-8.log contains the following IP addresses that were deleted.
<bgn: run posthook voip/dxa-voip-from-am-posthook.asl> dxa-voip-from-am-posthook@5148: Overlapping IPs removed: 1) 10.9.12.1 2) 10.9.12.97 3) 10.9.12.65 4) 10.9.10.65 5) 10.9.10.9 6) 10.9.254.12
