This topic lists the ports and protocols that are used by components.

Component Protocol Port Description
Broker HTTP/Smarts Remote - API protocol TCP Port 426 (Default)

The ports can be changed. Supports both IPv4 and IPv6.

It is the default port that communicates with the Smart Broker.
Smart Assurance servers HTTP/Smarts Remote - API protocol TCP Port specified by the user, or selected by the OS.

Supports both IPv4 and IPv6.

This is the Smart Assurance Remote -API port.
Trap Receiver/Trap Adapter SNMP UDP Port 162 (Default).

This can be changed.

This is the SNMP Trap receiver port.
FlexNet License Manager (Third-party component) Third-party TCP Port configured by user. Supports both IPv4 and IPv6. Smart Assurance uses TCP Port 1744. FlexNet License Manager is the third party software that Smart Assurance uses for licensing.
Service Assurance Manager Tomcat server 8080 Used with HTTP access.
EMC M&R (Watch4net) Tomcat server 58080 Used with HTTP access.
Elastic Search 9200 This port is used when SAM is installed with the Notification Cache Publishing option.
RabbitMQ 15672 This port is used when SAM is installed with the Notification Cache Publishing option.
