As a minimum, the following characteristics must be present; any additional security precautions are the responsibility of the end-user.
- An anonymous SCP user (typically user anonymous) must be enabled.
- Password should be set to “[email protected]”.
- The anonymous SCP user’s home directory must be set to $TFTPHOMEDIR, and cannot be world-writeable.
- The path $TFTPHOMEDIR must exist.
- The SCP user must be able to create subdirectories under $TFTPHOMEDIR.
