Rendezvous points
The MulticastServices that are RPs have a ServesAsRP relationship to each MulticastGroup that it supports. This is shown in the following figure.
Designated routers
Multicast services that have the role of DR are the entry or exit points to the multicast distribution tree. When a DR MulticastService is acting as the entry point to a multicast tree, it has a relationship Sources to the MulticastSource objects that are using that DR as their entry point. This is shown in the following figure:
When a DR MulticastService is acting as the exit point from a multicast tree, each IGMPNetwork object that represents a network that has one or more receivers in it will have a relationship, ReportsToService, to it. This is shown in the following figure:
