tanzu kubernetes-release

Performs Kubernetes release operations.

Syntax:

tanzu kubernetes-release [COMMAND]

Aliases

Global Flags

-h, --help

Help text.

--log-file

Path to the log file.

-v, --verbose

Log verbosity, from 0 to 9.

tanzu kubernetes-release activate

Activates the specified Tanzu Kubernetes release (TKr).

Usage

tanzu kubernetes-release activate TKR-NAME [FLAGS]

Example

To activate v1.21.8---vmware.1-tkg.1:

tanzu kubernetes-release activate v1.21.8---vmware.1-tkg.1

To list available TKrs, see tanzu kubernetes-release get.

tanzu kubernetes-release available-upgrades

Discovers available upgrades for a specific TKr.

Available command:

get

tanzu kubernetes-release available-upgrades get

Lists available upgrades for the specified TKr.

Usage

tanzu kubernetes-release available-upgrades get TKR-NAME [FLAGS]

Example

To list available upgrades for v1.21.8---vmware.1-tkg.1:

tanzu kubernetes-release available-upgrades get v1.21.8---vmware.1-tkg.1

tanzu kubernetes-release deactivate

Deactivates the specified TKr.

Usage

tanzu kubernetes-release deactivate TKR-NAME [FLAGS]

tanzu kubernetes-release deactivate v1.21.8---vmware.1-tkg.1

tanzu kubernetes-release get

Lists available TKrs and their current compatibility and upgrade status. For more information, see Create Workload Clusters with Different Kubernetes Versions.

Usage

tanzu kubernetes-release get [FLAGS]

And:

tanzu kubernetes-release get TKR-NAME [FLAGS]

Examples

To list all available TKrs, except for incompatible and deactivated:

tanzu kubernetes-release get

To list the current compatibility and upgrade status for a specific TKr (for example, v1.21.8---vmware.1-tkg.1):

tanzu kubernetes-release get v1.21.8---vmware.1-tkg.1

Flags

Lists all available TKrs, including incompatible and deactivated.

-o, --output

Output format. Supported values are yaml, json, and table.

tanzu kubernetes-release os

Gets OS information for a TKr.

Available command:

get

tanzu kubernetes-release os get

Lists available OSes for the specified TKr.

Usage

tanzu kubernetes-release os get TKR-NAME [FLAGS]

Example

To list available OSes for v1.21.8---vmware.1-tkg.1:

tanzu kubernetes-release os get v1.21.8---vmware.1-tkg.1

--region

The AWS region where the AMIs are available.

Note

This flag is removed in version 0.32.0 of tanzu kubernetes-release, due to the end of support for deployments to AWS.
