Validating the Greenplum Installation

To validate the Greenplum cluster configuration, run the commands below from the master node as root user.

1. Validate the settings, including the GUCs:

   $ /etc/gpv/validate
   

To validate the basic functionality of the Greenplum cluster, run the commands below from the master node as gpadmin user.

1. Show the state of the Greenplum cluster:

   $ gpstate
