You can manually install VMware Tanzu Operations Manager on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for use with the VMware Tanzu Application Service for VMs (TAS for VMs) runtime.

Important Do not use this topic if you intend to install the VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition (TKGI) runtime on AWS.

Installation procedure

To install Tanzu Operations Manager manually on AWS for use with TAS for VMs:

  1. (Optional) Review the resources you must deploy to AWS. See Required AWS objects.

  2. Prepare your AWS environment. See Preparing to deploy Tanzu Operations Manager on AWS.

  3. Deploy Tanzu Operations Manager. See Deploying Tanzu Operations Manager on AWS.

  4. (Optional) Verify that you deployed all of the required resources to AWS. See Required AWS objects.

  5. Configure BOSH Director. See Configuring BOSH Director on AWS.
