Expanding Your Network with Additional Subnets

This topic describes how to add more than one subnet to each network using the BOSH Director.

Overview on Additional Subnets

You can add more than one subnet to each network using the BOSH Director. After deploying VMware Tanzu Operations Manager (Ops Manager) v2.1 or later, you can expand your network with multiple, overlapping availability zones (AZs). You might want to create subnets with overlapping AZs if your current subnet is full and you determine your network needs expansion.

Add an Additional Subnet

To add an additional subnet to your network:

1. Go to the Ops Manager Installation Dashboard.

2. Click the BOSH Director tile.

3. Select Create Networks.

4. Click the name of your network to expand network details.

5. Click Add Subnet. This action populates a new set of subnet fields. You might need to scroll down to see the fields.

6. Complete each of the subnet fields. For more information about configuring your subnet, see the Ops Manager configuration topic for your IaaS installation

7. Click Save.

8. Return to the Ops Manager Installation Dashboard.

9. Click Review Pending Changes.

10. Click Apply Changes.
