This topic explains how to install VMware Tanzu Operations Manager (Ops Manager) on Amazon Web Services (AWS) manually.

Do not use this topic if you are intending to install the VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition (TKGI) runtime on AWS.

Overview

You can install Ops Manager on AWS manually for use with the VMware Tanzu Application Service for VMs (TAS for VMs) runtime.

Install Ops Manager on AWS

To install Ops Manager manually on AWS for use with TAS for VMs:

  1. (Optional) Review the resources you must deploy to AWS. For more information, see Required AWS Objects.

  2. Prepare your AWS environment. For more information, see Preparing to Deploy Ops Manager on AWS.

  3. Deploy Ops Manager. For more information, see Deploying Ops Manager on AWS.

  4. (Optional) Verify that you deployed all of the required resources to AWS. For more information, see Required AWS Objects.

  5. Configure BOSH Director. For more information, see Configuring BOSH Director on AWS.
