This topic describes how you can delete the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources associated with a VMware Tanzu Operations Manager deployment.

You can delete the resources in one of the following ways:

  • If you created a separate project for your Tanzu Operations Manager deployment, follow the procedure in Delete the project.

  • If the project that contains your Tanzu Operations Manager deployment also contains other resources that you want to preserve, follow the procedure in Delete Tanzu Operations Manager resources.

Delete the project

To delete the project for your Tanzu Operations Manager deployment:

  1. Go to the GCP Console Dashboard.

  2. Go to Project, and click Manage project settings.

  3. Click DELETE PROJECT.

  4. Enter your project ID and click SHUT DOWN to confirm.

Delete Tanzu Operations Manager resources

To delete the resources associated with your Tanzu Operations Manager deployment:

  1. Go to the GCP Console Dashboard.

  2. Click the upper left icon and click Networking.

  3. Click Load balancing.

  4. Complete the following steps for all load balancers associated with your Tanzu Operations Manager deployment:

    1. Click the trash can icon next to the load balancer.

    2. In the next dialog, click any health checks and backend services associated with the load balancer.

    3. Click DELETE LOAD BALANCER AND THE SELECTED RESOURCES.

  5. Click the upper left icon and click Compute Engine.

  6. Complete the following steps for VM instances, Instance groups, and Disks:

    1. Select the check box next to the Tanzu Operations Manager resource.

    2. When all Tanzu Operations Manager resources are selected, click DELETE.

    3. Click DELETE again to confirm.

  7. Click the upper left icon and click Networking.

  8. Click External IP addresses.

  9. Select all external IP addresses associated with your Tanzu Operations Manager deployment, and click RELEASE STATIC ADDRESS.

  10. Click Networks, and complete the steps for any networks you created for Tanzu Operations Manager:

    1. Click the name of the network.

    2. Click DELETE NETWORK.

    3. Click DELETE to confirm.

  11. Click the upper left icon and click IAM & Admin.

  12. Click the trash can icon next to the bosh service account you created for Tanzu Operations Manager and click REMOVE.

  13. Go to Compute Engine, then Metadata, followed by SSH Keys. Delete the vcap SSH key that you created for the project.
