Using runbooks for debugging and troubleshooting Cloud Foundry foundation alerts

Runbooks are provided to address the alerts provided with Tanzu Platform. Each runbook is associated with a specific alert for a Cloud Foundry foundation. The runbooks provide critical data that help you troubleshoot and reduce the mean time to resolution (MTTR) metric.

You can immediately see the relevant metrics and logs data for the alert, prioritize the alert resolution, and provide a quick resolution. The runbooks are created from the KPI documentation available in the public domain. For more information see Key performance indicators in Tanzu Application Service for VMs documentation.

Before you begin

You must have a Cloud Foundry foundation attached to Tanzu Platform. For information on how to attach a Cloud Foundry foundation, see Attach a Tanzu Cloud Foundry foundation as a VMware Tanzu Platform hub data source.
