VMware Telco Cloud Automation uses the vCenter Server authentication and authorization. Users and user groups defined in vCenter Server or its identity provider (IDP) can sign in to VMware Telco Cloud Automation.
To enable a specific vCenter Server user or a user group to access and use VMware Telco Cloud Automation, you must perform the following steps:
- Log in to VMware Telco Cloud Automation with System Administrator credentials.
- From the top-right corner, click the drop-down menu next to the User icon. Go to Authorization > Permissions.
- Assign the appropriate Roles to the user or user group. A Role determines the privileges that the user or user group receives for accessing VMware Telco Cloud Automation.
- To restrict access for your user or user group to specific objects, you can define the restrictions in the Advance Filter criteria.
- Save the permissions.
Users or user groups with the assigned Role can access and use VMware Telco Automation, and perform tasks according to the specified permissions.
