Procedure to obtain the current firmware version

The process helps you to obtain the current firmware version of the device.

Procedure

  1. You can obtain the firmware version through iDRAC.
    1. Login to iDRAC.
    2. Navigate to System.
    3. Click the Inventory tab.
  2. To obtain the firmware version of network interface cards (NICs), follow the steps:
    1. Use the SSH to login to the VMware ESXi server.
    2. Execute the esxcli network nic list command to get a list of all NICs.

    3. Execute the esxcli network nic get -n vmnic2|grep Firmware command to obtain the firmware value.
