You can add the AVI Kubernetes Operator - Operator (AKOO) when creating a Management cluster template or by editing a cluster configuration.
This topic lists the steps to add AKOO using the Edit Cluster Configuration tab.
Procedure
- Log in to the VMware Telco Cloud Automation web interface.
- Go to Infrastructure > CaaS Infrastructure > Cluster Instances.
- Click the Options (⋮) symbol against the Kubernetes cluster that you want to edit.
- Click Edit Cluster Configuration.
- In the Cluster Configuration tab, under Networking, click Add and select ako-operator.
- Enter the following details:

Enter the AVI controller host name. The format is [scheme://address[:port].
- Scheme: HTTP or HTTPS. Defaults to HTTPS if the scheme is not specified.
- Address: IPv4 address or the host name of the AVI controller.
- Port: If port is not specified, it defaults to the port of the AVI controller.

- Click Add.
