Adding active directory in VMware Telco Cloud Automation.

VMware Telco Cloud Automation now supports authentication through vCenter and Active Directory. You can configure Active Directory for a new deployment or you can upgrade the already deployed VMware Telco Cloud Automation to the latest version and configure the Active Directory settings in the upgraded VMware Telco Cloud Automation.
You can log in to the VMware Telco Cloud Automation Appliance Manager and configure the Active Directory settings to integrate VMware Telco Cloud Automation with your Active Directory server.
Note: Ensure that the logon user name is less than or equal to 20 characters. If the logon user name is more than 20 characters, the login works but the group retrieval of the user fails, causing the login to VMware Telco Cloud Automation to fail.

Prerequisites

Note:
  • When using the Active Directory server, ensure the reachability of Active Directory server to VMware Telco Cloud Automation Manager.
  • Active directory is available only for Telco Cloud Automation Manager and not for Telco Cloud Automation Control Plane.
  • You must use the format <username>@ad for user login.

  • Only the users associated with adminGroupName can inherit the system administrator privileges on VMware Telco Cloud Automation.

  • Ensure that you have access to VMware Telco Cloud Automation Appliance Manager.
  • Ensure that you have details of Active Directory server.
  • Ensure that you have users and groups created in Active Directory server.
