You can add the AVI Kubernetes Operator - Operator (AKOO) when creating a Management cluster template or by editing a cluster configuration.

This topic lists the steps to add AKOO using the Edit Cluster Configuration tab.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the VMware Telco Cloud Automation web interface.
  2. Go to Infrastructure > CaaS Infrastructure > Cluster Instances.
  3. Click the Options () symbol against the Kubernetes cluster that you want to edit.
  4. Click Edit Cluster Configuration.
  5. In the Cluster Configuration tab, under Networking, click Add and select ako-operator.
  6. Enter the following details:
    Option Description
    AVI Controller
    Controller Host Enter the AVI controller host name. The format is [scheme://address[:port].
    • Scheme: HTTP or HTTPS. Defaults to HTTPS if the scheme is not specified.
    • Address: IPv4 address or the host name of the AVI controller.
    • Port: If port is not specified, it defaults to the port of the AVI controller.
    User Name Enter the user name to log in to the AVI controller.
    Password Enter the password to log in to the AVI controller.
    Trusted Certificate (Optional) Paste the trusted certificate in native multiline format for secure communication with the AVI controller.
    Load Balancer and Ingress Service Configuration
    Cloud Name Enter the cloud name configured in the AVI Controller.
    Default Service Engine Group Enter the service engine group name configured in the AVI Controller.
    Default VIP Network Enter the VIP network name in the AVI Controller.
    Default VIP Network CIDR Enter the VIP network CIDR in the AVI Controller.
    Note: If the certificate or password of the Avi Controller expires, you can edit the AKO Operator configurations with the new certificate or password.
  7. Click Add.
