VMware Telco Cloud Automation generates a token each time a user remotely accesses a Kubernetes cluster or a VMware Telco Cloud Automation Control Plane (TCA-CP).

These tokens are available under Authorization > Tokens.

There are different types of tokens:
  • Virtual Infrastructure SSH Token: This token is generated when you use login credentials or the embedded terminal session for accessing a Kubernetes cluster.
  • Virtual Infrastructure REST: This token is generated when you use the Download Kube Config option for accessing a Kubernetes cluster.
  • Network Function SSH: This token is generated when you use login credentials or the embedded terminal session for accessing a Network Function.
  • Network Function REST: This token is generated when you use the Download Kube Config option for accessing a Network Function.
  • TCA-M: This token is generated when you use the Show Login Credentials or Open Terminal options for accessing the TCA-CP.

To view more information about a token, click the drop-down arrow against the token. A token that is not utilized expires after eight hours. A system administrator can revoke a token at any time.
