You can configure the helm timeouts for CNF LCM operations such as Instantiate, Upgrade, Scale, and Reconfigure.

Note:
  • Default timeout is 20 minutes for all the LCM operations.

  • You can set the custom timeouts values.

  • You can configure Timeout at CNF level as well as Helm level

    • UI allows user to configure timeout at CNF level only

    • Timeout at Helm level can be set through API only (Precendance will be given to helm level timeout if timeout is provided at both helm and CNF level)

Procedure

  1. Log in to the VMware Telco Cloud Automation web interface.
  2. To set timeout for CNF instantiation:
    1. Select Catalog > Network Function.

    2. Click the icon against the CNF Catalog you want to instantiate, and select Instantiate.

    3. On the Inventory Detail tab, click Advanced Settings and in the Timeout field, fill the desired value in minutes.

  3. To set timeout for CNF scale:
    1. Select Inventory > Network Function.

    2. Click the icon against the CNF you want to scale, and select Scale.

    3. On the Scale tab, click Advanced Settings and in the Timeout field, fill the desired value in minutes.

  4. To set timeout for CNF Reconfigure:
    1. Select Inventory > Network Function.

    2. Click the icon against the CNF you want to reconfigure, and select Reconfigure.

    3. On the Reconfigure tab, click Advanced Settings and in the Timeout field, fill the desired value in minutes.

  5. To set timeout for CNF Upgrade:
    1. Select Inventory > Network Function.

    2. Click the icon against the CNF you want to Upgrade, and select Upgrade.

    3. On the Upgrade Revision tab, in the Timeout (minutes) field, fill the desired value in minutes.
