The Upgrade Package operation modifies artifacts in the CSAR package such as workflows, scripts, and certificates. These artifacts take effect during the next CNF life cycle management operation. As an exception, if you have updated the late-binding customizations, the changes take effect immediately with the Upgrade Package operation.
Prerequisites
You must be a
System Administrator or a
Network Function Deployer to perform this task.
Procedure
- Log in to the VMware Telco Cloud Automation web interface.
- Select Inventory > Network Function and select the CNF to upgrade.
- Click the ⋮ symbol against the CNF and select Upgrade Package.
- In the Upgrade Package screen, select the new CNF catalog to upgrade to. The descriptor version changes accordingly to the selected catalog.
Note: Only those CNF catalogs that have the same software provider and product name are displayed.
- Click Upgrade.
Results
Your CNF is upgraded to the selected catalog version. The CNF instance now displays the upgraded catalog name in the Network Functions > Inventory tab.
