You can connect VMware Aria Automation for Logs to TCA and forward the logs from TCA to VMware Aria Automation for Logs.

The VMware Telco Cloud Automation appliance provides a Content Pack which can be imported into VMware Aria Automation for Logs. The TCA Content Pack contains dashboards and queries which you can use in debugging.

Exporting VMware Aria Automation for Logs

You can export logs from VMware Aria Automation for Logs for offline debugging and analysis. In the Export Logs page in VMware Aria Automation for Logs, apply the filter to select the required TCA component for which you want to export the logs.

Connecting TCA to VMware Aria Automation for Logs

You can forward logs from Telco Cloud Automation appliance to VMware Aria Automation for Logs. To forward the logs from VMware Aria Automation for Logs to TCA, you must configure the VMware Aria Automation for Logs while configuring the appliance or later.

To configure the VMware Aria Automation for Logs, navigate to the respective TCA's Appliance Management dashboard (port 9443). Provide the following details on the Log Management tab under Configuration in the dashboard:

  • Host: Contain host and port where VMware Aria Automation for Logs accepts incoming data. The port 9543 is commonly used. For more information, navigate to Log Sources > Agents > Fluentd in the VMware Aria Automation for Logs instance and also see Configuring Log Sources.

Note:

Only https:// connections are allowed.

  • Provider: The authentication provider for VMware Aria Automation for Logs. In case of VMware Aria Automation for Logs authentication, use Local.

  • Username: VMware Aria Automation for Logs username.

  • Password: VMware Aria Automation for Logs password.
