Procedure to add the Active Directory in a newly deployed VMware Telco Cloud Automation Manager.

Follow the procedure to add the Active Directory support in a newly deployed VMware Telco Cloud Automation Manager.

Procedure

  1. Login to the VMware Telco Cloud Automation Appliance Manager.
  2. Enter the required details for Activation, Datacenter Location, and System Name.
  3. Click Continue to save the changes and continue with the deployment.
  4. To add the authentication details, select the Active Directory option on the Select Authentication Provider page.
  5. Add the following details on the Connect Your Active Directory for TCA page:
    Note: You can add the Active Directory configuration for both VMware Telco Cloud Automation Manager and the VMware Telco Cloud Automation Appliance Manager.

    • URL - URL of the Active Directory server. Example: ldap://<host>:<port>, ldaps://<host>:<port>.

    • Base Distinguished Name for Users - The base distinguished name for the users of the LDAP directory. Example: cn=Users, dc=myCorp, dc=com.
    • Base Distinguished Name for Groups - The base distinguished name for the groups of the LDAP directory. Example: cn=Groups, dc=myCorp, dc=com.
    • Admin User Distinguished Name - The base distinguished name for the administrator of the LDAP directory. Example: cn=administrator,bcn=users, dc=telco, dc=net.
    • Password - Password of the administrator.
    • Admin Group Name - Name of the administrator group of the LDAP directory. Example: cn=Administrators, cn=Builtin, dc=telco, dc=net.
  6. Click Save to save the changes and continue with the deployment.
