You must share a resource to make it visible with the given scope to a tenant.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the VMware Telco Cloud Automation.
  2. Click the required resource under Infrastructure, Catalog, or Inventory. For example, click Catalog > Network Function.
  3. Click the vertical ellipse corresponding to the resource, for example, the network function you want to share, and click Share.
  4. In the Share window, select the tenant you want to share the resource with.
  5. Select one of the following share types for the resource you are sharing:
    • Read-Only: Grants permission to view the shared resource.
    • Use: Grants permission to use the shared resource according to its type, which differs from resource to resource. For example, when you share a VIM with the share type as Use, it allows the user to create an NF on that specific VIM. Conversely, when you share an NF Package with the share type as Use, it allows the user to create an NF instance from the NF package or embed the NF package into an NS package.
    • Modify: Grants a user possessing the modify privilege for the tenant to edit the shared resource.
    • Full: Grants a user possessing the modify privilege for the tenant to reshare or eidt the existing resource shares.
Note: If you grant full permission to the resource, the tenant can be deleted without resharing the resource or deleting it.
  6. (Optional) click Full and select the Delete icon to remove.
Note: Full share is provided by default when creating the resource.
  7. Click Share.
