As a cluster administrator, you can troubleshoot for cluster lifecycle and CNF customizations on the management cluster and the associated workload clusters.

You can run the following types of diagnosis:
  • Generic Diagnosis - All test cases will be run by default. You also select specific test case to run.
  • Upgrade Diagnosis - Select test cases from the drop-down menu.
    • Pre-upgrade - Check if the current cluster status is good for upgrade.
    • Post-upgrade - Check if the current cluster status is good after upgrade.
Note: Approximately 30 minutes are required to complete the diagnosis. And, within that time, if another diagnosis is submitted, the data is overridden with the last submitted diagnosis result.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the VMware Telco Cloud Automation web interface.
  2. Go to Infrastructure > CaaS Infrastructure.

The CaaS Infrastructure page is displayed.

  3. Click the Options () symbol corresponding to the Kubernetes cluster on which you want to run the diagnosis.
  4. Click Run Diagnosis.

The Run Diagnosis window is displayed.

  5. Select the type of diagnosis.
  6. (Optional) select one or more test cases that you want to apply for the cluster diagnosis.
    Note:

If you don't select any test case, the system runs a default diagnosis on the cluster.

  7. Click START DIAGNOSIS.
  8. Click the cluster name and navigate to the Diagnosis tab to monitor the progress of the diagnosis.

After the diagnosis is complete, the DOWNLOAD option is available to download the diagnosis report and perform a detailed analysis.
