VMware Telco Cloud Automation allows you to import/export a workflow (including the child workflows) as a zip bundle via the UI.

The input zip bundle to Import should include a folder named workflows, containing all the workflows you want to import. Prebuilt workflows, if provided, will not be updated in the system as overriding those is not allowed in Workflow Hub. Export operation will return a zip bundle with a folder named workflows. This will contain the selected workflow, along with all referred subworkflows (including prebuilt workflows).

Import a Workflow

  1. Navigate to Workflow Hub from the dashboard.
  2. In the Workflows tab, click Import to import a workflow bundle. The Import Workflow Bundle tab is displayed.
  3. Click Browse and select the workflow zip bundle from the local repository that you want to import. Click Open.
  4. In the Import Workflow Bundle tab, click Import. You can monitor the status under Import Result. Once the process is complete, the imported workflows will be listed in the Workflows tab.

Export a Workflow

  1. Navigate to Workflow Hub from the dashboard.
  2. In the Workflows tab, click on the menu (⋮) of the workflow that you want to export and select Export. The Export Workflow Bundle tab is reflected.
  3. Click Export to download the workflow bundle in the local repository. You can access the ZIP file from Downloads and open using the Archive Utility (default) option.
Note:
Import and export of schemas, stored in db being referred by the workflows, are not supported as part of this release. Please ensure to upload bundles with all dependent workflows if dependent workflows are not already present in the system.
Note: Import and export operations are only supported for workflows that do not use any schemas added to Workflow Hub.
