This Platform Upgrade Guide provides information for upgrading VMware Telco Cloud Infrastructure™ – OpenStack Edition 1.0 to 2.0 based on the Telco Cloud Infrastructure - OpenStack Edition 2.0 Reference Architecture.

This guide provides only high-level steps that are essential to upgrade the Telco Cloud Infrastructure OpenStack Edition platform. Procedures in this guide are validated in VMware labs. This guide is best referred together with the product documentation of each Telco Cloud Infrastructure OpenStack Edition component.

Intended Audience

This guide is intended for users who upgrade Telco Cloud Infrastructure OpenStack Edition from version 1.0 to 2.0. To upgrade Telco Cloud Infrastructure, you must have knowledge about the deployment and configuration of the Telco Cloud Infrastructure components.

Important:

If you want to upgrade vCloud NFV OpenStack Edition to Telco Cloud Infrastructure OpenStack Edition, follow this sequence:

  1. Upgrade vCloud NFV OpenStack Edition 3.3 to Telco Cloud Infrastructure OpenStack Edition 1.0.

  2. Upgrade Telco Cloud Infrastructure OpenStack Edition 1.0 to Telco Cloud Infrastructure OpenStack Edition 2.0.
