Upgrading ESXi

This section describes how to upgrade ESXi from 6.7 EP15 to 7.0U1C. The upgrade sequence is as follows: 6.7 EP15 > 7.0U1 > 7.0U1C.

Procedure

• ♦ Upgrade the ESXi using one of the following options:

  • ESXi command line. For instructions, see Update ESXi by Using Zip Files.

  • vSphere Lifecycle Manager

    1. Import Updates to the vSphere Lifecycle Manager Depot.

    2. Baseline Types by Content.

    3. Remediate ESXi Hosts Against a Single Baseline or Multiple Baselines.

Results

All the ESXi servers are rebooted after the upgrade.
